About

My name is Nikki, I am married to  Mark  and we have three fantastic (I am biased) grown up children.  A son Matthew  and  twin daughters Hannah & Laura.  We live in a village near Buckingham with our Yorkshire Terrier Lola. 

Before having the children I worked in finance for six years, but then became a full time mummy which I have loved and felt very rewarded by,  but now they have all spread their wings it's time for me to start a new journey myself.  I looked at several different vocations but becoming a doula just seemed the one that stood out to me. The more I researched the more excited I became about the skills and knowledge that I have to support a new mum and her family as they begin their new lives together. 

I completed the Nurturing Birth course for Birth & Post Natal doulas in February 2015 and the DoulaUK  Post Natal recognition process in July 2017.  I attended an Introductory Breastfeeding Study Day with Indira Lopez-Bassols in April 2016. ​ I also undertook St Johns Ambulance Paediatric first aid course in May 2016. 

I am proud to be  part of Doulas MK, who are a group of doulas from Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas working in harmony to support women and families before, during and after birth in a many different ways.
