Post Natal Doula

A post natal doula offers emotional and practical support to a new mother and her family from immediately after birth and then for the next few weeks, allowing mum to bond with her new born and face parenthood feeling confident and calm. As your post natal doula I will work with you and your family to give the support that you think would be of benefit to you, there are no set guidelines as every family is different and therefore have different needs but some of the ways in which I may help are:

Breastfeeding and/or formula feeding support
Routine newborn care such as bathing, nappy changing, sleeping
Look after & occupy older siblings maybe do school run allowing Mum time with baby or alternatively look after baby so Mum can have quality time with the older children
Walk the dog
Light households tasks, washing, ironing, vacuuming, grocery shopping
Make a coffee and just sit and listen to whatever concerns and fears that you may have

I can work very flexibly around the needs that you and your family have, but typically I will come to your home for 10/15 hours a week up to when your baby is 6-8 weeks old decreasing the time each week as you feel less support is needed. My charges are £20 per hour or £175 per 10 hour block booking .
